ICAR-NINFET arrange an on-campus programme and live streaming of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Fund Release on January 1, 2022

ICAR- National Institute of Natural Fibre Engineering and Technology, Kolkata has organized one event where the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Fund Release programme has been live-telecasted from PM Office.
Before commencing the live telecast, Dr. D.B. Shakyawar, Director, welcomed the gathering and highlighted the major contributions of the institute towards the betterment of the farming community. He makes the farming community aware of various schemes and plans of the government towards the doubling of the farming community. He urges the farmers and farm women to have trust and patience in the government policies & their implementation and the young generation to give their best efforts to the nation to overcome the major problems we are facing today after the devastating effect of the post-Covid spell. He stressed the concept of the unity of humankind and working together to achieve the target of diminishing the problem of poverty and malnutrition. The Heads of Divisions were addressed the gathering.
Later on, the live telecast of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Fund Release programme was witnessed by all the participants. After the live programme a small introductory visit to all the divisions and sections were arranged to showcase the various activities done by the institute to the participants.
Around forty farmers from surrounding districts, thirty students from Banaras Hindu Agricultural University and staff members of the institute have participated in this event. The event ended with a vote of thanks by Dr. K.K. Samanta, Scientist. The programme was coordinated by Dr. D.P. Ray, Principal Scientist & Shri S. Das, Scientist, under the kind supervision of the Director.
