Infrastructure Development and Social Impact:

Fibre grading units, jute diversified products manufacturing centresare created both in-house and at collaborating organizations (KVK/NGO)

Participation of women beneficiaries in large number in training programmes leading to women empowerment and gender equality in this sector.

Demonstration on the institute developed retting accelerator “NINFET SATHI” followed by its free distribution through this social upliftment scheme has proven to be a boon to the jute growers belonging to SC community. It helped them in getting improved quality fibre with higher yield leading to more price to their hard earned crop.

Developed a mobile app “NINFET-SC Uplifter” for providing necessary information on various activities taken up under this scheme for easy access to the community.

The feedback received from different stakeholders associated with this SCSP scheme augurs its great potential in penetrating into the community for upliftment of social status.

FLDs conducted under the Different schemes (NFSM), NEH, Jute-ICARE, SCSP and MGMG)

Improved retting technology using NINFET-Sathi retting accelerator powder largely transferred among the jute growers in West Bengal, Bihar, Assam, Odisha, Tripura and Andhra Pradesh through various schemes like National Food Security Mission, Commercial Crops (NFSM-CC), NEH, SCSP and MGMG. The retting technology has been introduced through Jute-Improved Cultivation and Advanced Retting Exercise (Jute-ICARE) from 2021-22.
