Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) signing for dissemination by ICAR-NINFET’s “Accelerated retting of jute” technology
A Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) signing ceremony for dissemination of technology developed by ICAR-National Institute of Natural Fibre Engineering & Technology as “Accelerated retting of jute” (registered as NINFET-Sathi) was held between ICAR-NINFET and M/s Quality Exports on 17.10.2020.
At the outset Dr. D.B.Shakyawar, Director, ICAR-NINFET welcomed all the dignitaries in the Chair. He expressed his great happiness to transfer the technology for the benefit of farmers. He emphasized to reach the new generation technologies of the ICAR-NINFET to the farmers for the benefit of the farming community.
Dr. Deb Prasad Ray, Principal Scientist & Inventor of the Technology illustrated the technological significance and economic benefit of accelerated retting technology through his presentation.
Prof. R. Chattopadhyay, IIT-Delhi, Dr. C.R.Mehta, Director, ICAR-CIAE, Bhopal and Dr. Nachiket Kotwaliwale, Director, CIPHET Ludhiana and Dr. Ambrish Kumar, Dean CAE, RPCAU deliberated their views regarding the immense importance of technological innovations and farmers need in virtual mode. Mr. Sumantra Roy, the proprietor of M/s Quality Exports expressed is sincere thanks for giving this opportunity through MoA signing for serving the jute stakeholders. Dr. Alok Nath Roy, Head, Transfer of Technology Division and I/C ITMU and Dr. Biplab Saha, Head, Quality Evaluation & Improvement Division & Co-inventor of the technology expressed their deep happiness for successful transfer of ICAR-NINFET’s technology. They shared the future road map for reaching this technology to the grass root level of farmers.
