Celebration of Farmer’s Day on 25.12.2020 at ICAR-NINFET
The address by Hon’ble Prime Minister to the farmers and releasing of PM Kisan money to the farmers was webcasted today. On this occasion ICAR-NINFET also observed the Farmer’s day at Institute auditorium. Farmers (20 Nos.) of villages Bhabanipur and Satypole, Haringhata Block, Nadia district of West Bengal were participated. The program started with ICAR theme song. Director welcomed all the farmers and briefed about different Govt. policies and facilities being were offered to the farmers. Dr. Sanjoy Debnath, Nodal officer, MGMG addressed the farmers and mentioned about various ICAR-NINFET activities organized at different adopted villages. He also discussed about different agricultural technologies, handicraft training available for farmers. Dr. Rina Naiya, Nodal Officer, Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan discussed different aspects of Swachhta initiatives taken by this institute and importance of Swachhta and cleanliness to the community towards cleanliness of country. After live telecast program farmers shared their views through an interactive session. A short documentary film on Institute’s activities was shown to the farmers. A programme was arranged for farmers to visit different laboratories, where Scientists of the Institute demonstrated their developed products, technologies, instruments and machinery.
