Skill Development Training on Jute Handicrafts

Two (02) 10-days duration skill development training on "Manufacture of jute handicrafts" were organized under Agri Business Incubation (ABI) project at Babpur village of North 24 Pgs District of West Bengal during February 10-19, 2022.
Dr. D.B. Shakyawar, Director has interacted with the trainees and briefed them about the demand of jute handicrafts in National as well as International market. He has also spoken about the role of ICAR-NINFET as a facilitator in creation of enterprises in this sector.
Dr. Laxmikanta Nayak, Principal Scientist and Co-PI., ABI Project has distributed the certificates to the trainees in the valedictory function held on 19th February, 2022.
Forty (40) women associated with jute crafts work have participated in these trainings which were well coordinated by Kojagiri Farmers' Producer Company Limited (KFPCL).
