Grand function on 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and Closing ceremony of “Swachhta Hi Sewa” Pakwada, October 02, 2018
All ICAR-NIRJAFT staff member assembled at institute and participated in cleanliness drive wholeheartedly for 1 hour. After that staff member participated in rally with banner and posters on Swachhta in the street for public awareness and displayed the posters on various theme of Swachhta for public awareness.
To celebrate 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and Closing ceremony of Swachhta Hi Sewa Pakwada (15.9.2018 to 02.10.2018) ICAR-NIRJAFT organized grand function started with ICAR theme song. Director of Institute welcomed audiences and discussed about Mahatma Gandhiji in detail he read poem on Mahatama Gandhiji. Staff members delivered speech on Mahatma Gandhiji’s short biography, patriotic works. A presentation on “Swachhta Hi Sewa at a glance” where the activities during pakwada have been highlighted by Nodal Officer, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. Swamy Gunatita Nanda, Upadhyay of Bharat Seba Sangha Asram, Kolkata grace the Chair as The Chief Guest. He highlighted the philosophy of Mahatma Gandhiji’s life and mentioned importance of cleanliness in our society. The Chief Guest and Director of our institute distributed prizes to the winners of school students and NIRJAFT staff members who participated in different competition on swachhta awareness. The function ended successfully with vote of thanks to all audience.
